Service Change Proposal

Getting back to normal together

Public transportation has been impacted by the pandemic in many ways:

  • The immense challenge of keeping employees and riders safe
  • The loss of funding through reduced fare collection and sales tax revenue
  • The changing transportation needs within our community and region, for example more people working or attending school from home

2021 Service Change Proposal [Webpage Image]

Everett Transit is recovering and will continue connecting people to life. We want to safely and smartly engage with you, our customer, and provide the most meaningful and relevant transportation solutions possible.

March 2021 Proposal

While it is hard to know exactly where we will be in March 2021 relative to the pandemic, schools opening and people returning to the workplace, we do know we want to be positioned to get you there. With this in mind, the results of our recent survey and past customer feedback, we have two options to present for our March 2021 service change.

  1. Option A
  2. Option B

RESTORE SUNDAY SERVICE

Nearly 70% of those who responded to Everett Transit’s recent on-bus and online survey stated they wanted Sunday service back. Option A will see the return of Sunday service, including paratransit service.

Monday through Friday and Saturday service levels will remain almost identical to what they are now with only minor changes made to various schedules. We are operating an enhanced Saturday level service with 108 additional trips, including earlier and later service on most routes.

ROUTE 6 (EVERETT STATION TO WATERFRONT)

Service will run when we enter phase 4 of the Governor’s Safe Start reopening plan. It will be modified to end at 13th & W Marine View Dr.

ROUTE 70 (MUKILTEO FERRY TO BOEING)

Route will be suspended indefinitely due to extremely low ridership.
